In November of last year, 2018 my wife, Mary Kay and I went on a riverboat cruise from New Orleans to Memphis with several friends on the riverboat America run by the America cruise line.
We visited Oak Alley Plantation; Houmas House; the Atchafalaya National Wildlife Refuge; The Stone House and the Octagon House in Natchez; Vicksburg including the wreck of the ironclad USS Cairo and the Civil War battlefield, and Memphis. In Memphis we saw the Lorraine Hotel where Martin Luther King was shot, the ducks at the Peabody hotel, and the Sun Record studio known as the birthplace of Rock and Roll.
